Help inserting RAM into my laptop please?

I have an E System 4215C laptop and someone gave me Samsung PC2 – 5300 RAM – 256MB. Question is is it compatible and how do I put it in?

When you are doing it make sure you touch some metal object to earth out your static electricity, don’t wear nylon polyester type clothes or rub shoes on carpet as this can damage the Ram Memory stick through your bodily static electricity.

If you take it down to the computer store they will do it for you.

I would not do it if I were you as there are different types of RAM and you will have to do research or it will not work right.
