13 inch cheap laptop?

im getting a laptop for christmas.
i need something prefferably below $400, or my mom will say no. im 16, but im a college student, so i need to be able to use it for school, something with a nice keyboard and keypad clicker and stuff that doesnt stick and is quiet.
small, around 13 inches, 12-15 maybe. i dont want a minnie because i need something with a CD drive for sims
a long battery would be really nice too, but the size and affordability are my first concerns
any suggestions or personal reviews, pros cons, that sort of thing would be appreciated

13 inch laptops cost much more than $400, but you can get 15 inch fairly cheap. best buys black friday sale has this
